Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased Great addition to our front entrance. These are well made, sturdy enough (especially considering the price) and look fantastic. Sure, they don’t have a bottom closure glass but that hasn’t really caused too much trouble with bugs … if it were closed on the bottom, like most are, any bug getting in (and they always find a way in) would be stuck inside .. this way, they can at least come out :) Also, pretty sure the dimensions on the illustration are called out incorrectly - the fixture is rather large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful fixture at an excellent price point! I have been looking for a while for a substantially size light fixtures for our front porch. These not only fit the bill in terms of affordability, but they are also just very beautiful. The only "heads up" that I will offer is that the glass does not come inserted into the light, so you'll want to use caution when assembling. Once they are up you will be thrilled with your decision!

However, this is the 5th lantern I've purchased since installing them; didn't last much more than a year. Too costly to replace them all at this point, so one at a time it is. The light bulbs in the lantern don't last much more than a couple months either.

Easy to install. We had 8 put up in a few hours. Great product- took more than a month for them to arrive but so worth it.

The length of the horizontal rod is 5 1/2 Inch. And the the dimensions of the box like area where the glass is 9 1/2 Inch x 9 1/2 Inch.

Can we use a dimmer switch with this lamp? Also, will the power coating help prevent the lamp from corroding?

A dimmer switch can be used. This fixture is made of steel but is also “wet” rated and like with anything made of steel, rusting/corroding could happen over time depending on the conditions the fixture is under. If it is exposed directly to the sun/rain/snow, the chances of rusting/corroding would obviously be greater but the powder coating will help also. If there is no direct contact with sun/rain/snow, it would certainly help prevent any rust/corrosion.
